Regional Town Hall Sessions

The State of Vermont, recognizing the critical need to safeguard public safety, has enacted Act 78 through the FY 2024 appropriations act. This legislation prioritizes the creation of a reliable, secure, and interoperable public safety communications system. By integrating 911 call-taking and regional dispatch systems into a unified network, Vermont aims to establish a system that is equitably financed and universally accessible across the state. This initiative marks a significant advancement in ensuring that every Vermonter has access to essential public safety services.

To support this vital project, the Task Force has planned four Regional Town Hall Sessions. These sessions offer a unique opportunity for first responders — EMS, Fire, and Law Enforcement — as well as emergency management, transportation, and communications personnel, municipal leaders, and members of the legislature, to directly influence the future of public safety communications in Vermont. This is your chance to set priorities, share insights, and help shape a system that meets the needs of those on the front lines. Task Force members will attend to engage in the discussions. We invite you to register for one of the four in-person or virtual sessions by selecting your preferred location and time below. Led by two Mission Critical Partners (MCP) facilitators, each session will allow stakeholders to discuss challenges, explore growth opportunities, and collaborate on strategies for success.
